Angels

I have always loved angels; they give me comfort and protection. John O’Donohue, the Irish Poet and Philosopher viewed angels as divine forces, inner guides and “transfigured loved ones” that offer protection, healing and connection to God.

In his book, “To Bless the Space Between Us,” O’Donohue offers a Blessing to the angels. Here is one stanza I particularly love as we enter into this new year:

May the Angel of Awakening stir your heart
To come alive to the eternal within you,
To all the invitations that quietly surround you.

May you see the Angels around you.
