Elders

In a January 2026 Richard Rohr post on “Dignity,” Carlos Rodriguez, founder of The Happy Givers nonprofit in Puerto Rico, states “… there is nothing like just being present with the ones who need presence.”

It’s what I try to do in photographing elders. So much loss in the aging process yet if you look closely, and a person lets you in, there is strength and depth. One only needs to be Present in front of the Presence.
